BERLIN – A man was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a forklift on Washington Avenue, police say.

Berlin police Lt. Drew Gallupe said the man suffered a serious leg injury, but it is not considered life-threatening. He said the man was transported to the hospital.

Gallupe said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded and is investigating the incident.
