Three northern Indiana volleyball clubs are coming together to create Midwest Premier Juniors, a youth volleyball club based in Warsaw.
According to a release issued Friday announcing the creation of the club, more details about tryouts, coaches and registration for upcoming programs will be shared in the next few weeks on the club’s website at mpjrs.com and on the club’s new social media accounts.
“Midwest Premier Juniors was built on a shared belief that athletes deserve high-quality coaching, a positive and competitive environment, and a clear pathway to reach their goals, whether that means growing confidence in the game, competing at a high level, or pursuing opportunities beyond high school volleyball,” the press release said.
The new club will be a collaboration between Team Pineapple Volleyball Club in Angola, Empowered Volleyball Academy in Fort Wayne and Northern Indiana Volleyball Association (NIVA) in Mishawaka. These clubs have previously worked together on initiatives such as the Midwest Power Series and Pineapple High Performance.
“We are so excited for this collaboration that will bring high-level volleyball to Kosciusko County,” NIVA owner and director Adria Anderson was quoted as saying in the release. “In recent years, players from this community have either had to travel or choose between our clubs. This partnership allows the talent to train at a high level close to home.”
