WARRINGTON Wolves were dominant victors over the weekend to continue their fine start to the Women’s Championship season.
Cailey Miller was the star of the show, bagging herself four tries in a 66-10 win over Salford RLFC as Hollie Brussels also came out of the match with an impressive brace.

And while he recognised that his side may not have been pushed all the way in the game, head coach Lee Westwood reflected upon the strides forward his side made.
“There were a lot of things we did wrong against Sheffield last week that we improved on this week, which was good,” he said.
“Defensively, we probably weren’t challenged as much but we switched off a little for their tries, which is something we need to build on for next week”
“There were a lot of really pleasing things about today both in attack and in defence – we did try and force a few things today instead of sticking to the process, but this game will give the girls confidence.”

The scoring started after only four minutes when Brussels made a smart run down the wing following a big scrum in the middle of the field, with Michelle Davis knocking over her first of nine conversions in the match.
Beth Haynes, Maddie Price and Georgia Westwood all linked up and contributed towards a fast start by The Wire and after just 15 minutes, the away side were 24-0 up and on their way to a big victory as Westwood, Miller and Ellie Jelves all scored.
After this, it was Salford’s turn to have a good spell with Mia Regan scoring out wide, but any hopes of the hosts getting back into the game died out by the time Brussels went down the wing to seal her brace.

That made it 44-4 after earlier tries from Miller (twice) Westwood and Brussels before former Warrington full-back Anna Dennis bagged Salford’s second try.
Miller, Ellie Costello and Jen Myler added further tries in the final 10 minutes to confirm The Wire’s dominance over the 80 minutes.
