At Berlin EFM, also known as the European Film Market, the lineup features artists across genres alongside Sweeney, including Charli XCX, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Ethan Hawke, and Zoe Saldana. Sweeney is attached to The Custom of the Country, an Edith Wharton adaptation written and directed by Josie Rourke and produced by StudioCanal. She will play Undine Spragg, with casting director Nina Gold assembling the supporting cast. Sweeney’s recent slate included The Housemaid. StudioCanal will release the film theatrically in its territories, aligning with EFM’s focus on packaged films.
