The future of the music products industry took centre stage in Amsterdam as NAMM NeXT Europe 2026 brought together some of the most influential leaders from across the global music business for two days of discussion, collaboration, and strategic planning.

Held June 10 and 11 at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, the executive leadership summit welcomed senior figures from the musical instrument, pro audio, live event, retail, education, and distribution sectors. Building on the momentum of its inaugural Brussels gathering in 2025, the event continued to establish itself as a key forum for shaping the industry’s future.

Representatives from major companies including C.F. Martin Guitar, Roland Europe, Taylor Guitars Europe, Thomann, Gear4music, Focusrite Group, QSC, Solid State Logic, GEWA Music, and many others participated in discussions focused on long-term growth, innovation, and strengthening the global community of music makers.

NAMM President and CEO John Mlynczak highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for leaders to exchange ideas and address shared challenges. The summit explored topics including artificial intelligence, global trade, economic trends, consumer behaviour, music education advocacy, retail development, manufacturing, and live events.

One of the event’s defining features was its executive working-group format, which brought together leaders across commercial, retail, and live event sectors to develop practical strategies for industry growth and future collaboration.

The summit also reinforced the growing connection between the music products business and music education organizations throughout Europe. Leaders examined new opportunities to support music education and encourage participation among future generations of musicians and creators.

Industry participants praised the event’s ability to unite traditionally separate parts of the music ecosystem. GEWA Music CEO Marcel Messner described the gathering as a significant achievement in bringing together manufacturers, educators, and business leaders around a shared goal of creating more music makers.

As the music products industry continues to navigate technological change, evolving consumer habits, and shifting global markets, NAMM NeXT Europe 2026 demonstrated the value of collaboration and collective leadership. The conversation continues later this year when NAMM NeXT Latin America arrives in São Paulo, Brazil, in November 2026.
