European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde is in Brussels today for a series of engagements, amid growing interest in the role the euro can play internationally.

The ECB chief, who will appear before the European Parliament’s economic and monetary affairs committee, is also in town for a conference on the international role of the euro, the latest push by the bank to highlight the potential of the single currency.
