Center Court Sports in West Berlin has reopened under new ownership following significant facility upgrades, positioning itself as a premier South Jersey destination for basketball, volleyball, leagues, tournaments, clinics and youth sports programs.
Previously operating as Peak Skills, the 23,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility has been acquired by the team behind PlayMore Sport & Social Club, a well-established South Jersey organization with a 17-year history of connecting adults through recreational sports and social leagues.

The new ownership group has already invested heavily in the facility, including new flooring, an upgraded snack bar, a new roof, and a modern lighting system currently being installed.
I recently stopped by to catch up with Mark, one of the owners of Center Court Sports, who provided a full tour of the facility. The venue is already seeing strong participation in basketball leagues and volleyball programs, with significant interest building for upcoming summer youth leagues, clinics and camps.
A Natural Expansion for PlayMore Sports
The acquisition makes perfect sense for the PlayMore team, which has spent nearly two decades organizing adult basketball, volleyball, kickball and other recreational sports throughout South Jersey.
Center Court Sports serves two primary audiences.

With schools now out for summer, the facility is placing a strong emphasis on youth programming, including:

The facility recently launched its Summer Sports Activity Camp, which runs Monday through Friday and introduces children to a variety of sports and athletic activities.

Center Court Sports is located within an industrial park near the intersection of Cooper Road and Taunton Avenue, just minutes from Route 73 in West Berlin.
The expansive indoor facility occupies the entire building and features two full-size basketball courts along with an additional practice court. A large two-story interior structure houses the snack bar, lounge areas and event spaces.
As part of the renovation effort, the owners completely replaced the playing surface and have made substantial improvements throughout the property. The building also received a new roof, and solar panels are being added along with upgraded interior lighting.
The main court area is designed to support multiple sports. Hidden floor supports allow volleyball nets to be installed quickly while maintaining a clean basketball court layout. The additional practice court provides valuable space for training sessions and smaller programs.
The ownership team is excited about the facility’s long-term potential and the possibility of introducing additional indoor sports and activities in the future.
Unique Two-Story Viewing and Event Space
One of the most impressive features of Center Court Sports is its two-level front entrance and spectator area.
While the entire venue is indoors, the owners have essentially created a “building within a building.” The front structure features extensive glass walls that provide excellent views of the courts while creating comfortable gathering spaces for athletes, parents and visitors.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed into an expanded lobby area featuring the newly upgraded snack bar and multiple high-top seating areas.
A separate Court Lounge on the lower level offers a private gathering space enclosed by glass walls, providing excellent views of both the courts and lobby area. The space is ideal for private parties, team gatherings, tournament headquarters and special events.
The second-floor area is also undergoing upgrades and could eventually support a variety of additional uses for both the facility and private rentals.
The Court Lounge offers a separate yet connected space for events… scheduled or private.
Summer Camps, Clinics and Youth Development Programs
Center Court Sports already has a full calendar of youth events, camps and clinics scheduled throughout the summer.
One of the featured offerings is the June Basketball Camp, designed to help young athletes improve their skills, learn the fundamentals of the game, compete in a positive environment and build confidence on the court.

The facility is also offering a June Activity Camp, which provides a broader athletic experience through volleyball, indoor soccer, dodgeball and other team-oriented games.
