Few have been doing couple styling like Zendaya and Tom Holland during their “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” promotional tour. During the European leg of their press circuit, the two actors and couple have sported retro pieces, tailored suits and more.
Zendaya’s been under the styling of her longtime collaborator Law Roach, who dressed the actress in everything from a $35 vintage Marvel Spider-Man graphic T-shirt to the latest from Louis Vuitton‘s cruise collection. WWD breaks down the couple’s press tour style ahead.
London Photo Call

For Thursday night’s London photo call of the film, Zendaya continued her retro and method dressing streak with a John Galliano spring 1997 collection selection. The formfitting dress with a high-low flirty hemline featured a constellation-inspired pattern with a spiderweb motif at the back. The actress accessorized her look with jewelry pieces by Tiffany & Co.
Holland, by contrast, went slightly relaxed with his apparel. The actor wore gray trousers with a lighter tone jacket and bordeaux-toned shirt.
Rome Premiere

At Tuesday’s Rome premiere, Zendaya revived Giorgio Armai’s spring 1990 sleeveless dress. The maxidress featured a taupe tone with a sheer black overlay and a crystalized spiderweb motif, continuing the method dressing bent of her press tour wardrobe. Two small jeweled insects were added to the dress, one at the neckline and the other at the hip.
Zendaya’s “Spider-Man” costar chose a maroon coordinated suit with a crisp white dress shirt.
Rome Photo Call

The vintage style trend continued for Zendaya in Rome, when she wore a fall 1997 Versace design. The coordinated cropped top and miniskirt was cast in Spider-Man-inspired red and blue. She added her signature Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps in white and accessorized with earrings by A. Jaffe.
Favoring a tailored but casual look, Holland wore a coordinated trouser and jacket set with a cotton white T-shirt.
Amsterdam Photo Call

On June 17, Zendaya nodded to her ambassadorship with Louis Vuitton, wearing a selection from the French luxury fashion house’s cruise 2027 collection. The look featured a pair of high-waisted short-shorts in red with a structured black jacket and embroidered detailing. The actress accessorized with earrings by Tiffany & Co.
Holland meant business in a suited look cast in a dark tone, featuring a jacket with square statement pockets. He added a collard white dress shirt and striped tie to complete his attire.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is the latest chapter in the Marvel comic book movie series and follows Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, played by Holland, who must fend off a new villain in a world that’s completely forgotten him. The film hits theaters July 31.
