Hertha Berlin stopper Tjark Ernst on Celtic transfer radar

Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Hertha Berlin goalkeeper Tjark Ernst.

The 23-year-old played 37 times last season and kept 12 clean sheets across all competitions in 2. Bundesliga and the domestic cups.

The Hoops are looking for a new shot-stopper after Kasper Schmeichel retired last season with a shoulder injury.

Viljami Sinisalo has been Celtic‘s number one since Schmeichel’s injury, while Ross Doohan is still at the club.

However, German outlet Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung claim that Ajax are also keen on signing Ernst.

Hertha Berlin are also said to be keen on tying the German goalie down on a long-term contract.

Celtic are still keeping their options open though.

LKS Lodz goalkeeper Aleksander Bobek is also said to be on their shortlist.

The Polish goalie was of interest to the Bhoys back in January.
