The cost of Denmark’s 30th military aid package will be approximately 590 million euros

Denmark has announced a new, 30th package of military aid for Ukraine, with a total value of approximately 4.4 billion Danish kroner, or about 590 million euros. This was reported by , citing, the country’s Ministry of Defense.
Why is this important?. Europe is currently making serious preparations for a scenario in which the United States might distance itself from helping to fund NATO’s joint defense needs. Under these circumstances, the European Union is seeking its own mechanism to deter Russia.
The government presented the relevant decision to the Committee on Foreign Policy. The new package will include ammunition, weapons, and military equipment, as well as additional funding for training programs for Ukrainian military personnel conducted in partnership with Denmark.
Danish Defense Minister Jeppe Brøus emphasized that Copenhagen remains committed to supporting Ukraine.
“At the same time, we must also learn from the Ukrainians how to strengthen Denmark’s combat capabilities,” the minister noted.
Of the total amount of the package, approximately 1.3 billion kroner (about 174 million euros) will be allocated to the implementation of the so-called “Danish model,” which involves financing the purchase of products directly from Ukrainian defense companies.
The package also includes additional funding for the procurement of long-range artillery ammunition.
On June 29, Jeppe Brøus was in Ukraine and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed, among other things, the details of the new military aid package, as well as the Drone Deal.
“I know that our teams have been working on it, and it’s almost ready. I hope we’ll be able to sign this document soon,” Zelenskyy said.
According to Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the situation on the front lines is changing, but this is no reason to ease support for Ukraine.
“On the contrary, we must continue to support Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia in order to strengthen Ukraine’s negotiating position,” he said.
According to the country’s Ministry of Defense, Denmark has provided Kyiv with military aid totaling approximately 76.8 billion Danish kroner since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, which exceeds 10 billion euros.
On June 25, Politico, citing NATO diplomats, reported that at the summit in Ankara, Alliance members would commit to providing Ukraine with military support worth 70 billion euros, and that at least the same amount would be pledged for 2027.However, on June 30, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, citing sources in diplomatic circles, reported that NATO countries have not yet reached a consensus on allocating 70 billion euros to Ukraine for 2027.
