Logistics Plus is continuing its support and commitment to Ukraine after members attended the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Poland at the end of June.

Logistics Plus Launches U.S. Office for Ukraine Investment

The annual conference brought together government officials, businesses, and organizations from around the world to strengthen support for Ukraine as the war with Russia continues. This year’s event resulted in a new partnership for Logistics Plus aimed at bringing in future investments in the country.

“One of the things that we did, we signed an agreement with Ukraine Invest, which is a semi-government organization,” said Logistics Plus founder and CEO Jim Berlin. “What they will do is sit in our office in New York City, and that enables them to be closer to a great wealth of investors and people that want to do business with them in Ukraine, so it’s easier for them to reach out.”

Berlin said the agreement builds on the company’s years of humanitarian, logistical, and financials support for Ukraine by creating new opportunities for economic growth and investment at their New York office.

“America has always been known, rightfully, as the land of opportunity,” Berlin said. “As the Ukrainians continue their four-plus-year battle for survival and the future, they will become the land of opportunity.”

Support for Ukraine continued here in Erie as well. The Ukrainian Cultural Exchange Hockey Camp recently wrapped up its three week program in Erie, giving young athletes from Ukraine the opportunity to stay with local host families, improve their hockey skills and experience life in the United States away from the realities of war.

“It gives these young kids a chance to get away from the war, to live in homes with American families that are taking them in,” Berlin said. “It’s a great experience for them, a great way to get away from being under bombardment, and it’s a good way to reach out and help people.”

Whether through new international partnerships or welcoming Ukrainian children to Erie, Berlin said the company’s commitment to supporting Ukraine remains strong more than four years after the war began.
