An altercation between two patients in the Vivantes hospital in Neukölln led to a fatal stabbing. The incident took place late on Sunday night and the victim was a 65-year-old man. According to the hospital’s spokesperson, the suspected perpetrator, a 26-year-old man, had been admitted to the hospital on Sunday with a diagnosis of psychosis.

The police reported the incident at 1am on WhatsApp and X. The spokesperson said “there was no weapon”, however, a broken cup was reportedly found at the scene.

The spokesperson added that the staff at the hospital are in shock and are receiving psychological support. The resuscitation team that arrived on the scene were unable to do anything. The police homicide team has taken over the investigation.
