Hertha Berlin boss Stefan Leitl admits the 2. Bundesliga club have a plan in place if star goalkeeper Tjark Ernst is sold.

The former Germany youth international has been heavily linked with both Celtic and Gio van Bronckhorst’s Feyenoord and reportedly has a release clause of €5million (£4.3million) in his contract.

Fellow second tier German side Wolfsburg had also been very keen on the shot-stopper but sources within the country claim that Ernst has turned them down.

Ands Leitl insists Hertha are fully prepared to lose Ernst or any of their other prized assets this summer.

Speaking to TAG24, he said: “I believe the names are known and accordingly we must be prepared in case something else happen.”

Meanwhile, Marcelo Saracchi has reportedly been told to train on his OWN after returning to Boca Juniors.

The Uruguayan left back enjoyed a solid season on loan at Celtic in 2025/26, helping the Hoops lift a league and cup double.

Celts had been keen to bring the 28-year-old back to Parkhead on another loan deal but Record Sport exclusively revealed that the offer was thrown out by Buenos Aires giants Boca, who are only interested in selling the player in a permanent deal.

Saracchi has also been touted to make a switch to domestic rivals Independiente and Argentine outlet El Intransigente claim that Boca head coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena has now frozen Saracchi out of the first team picture.

They add that the club’s sporting director – ex Villarreal and Barcelona star Juan Roman Riquelme – will listen to offers of at least $3million (£2.2million) for the 11-time Uruguay cap.
