Latasha Sue Ibarra

WARSAW – A Warsaw woman was arrested for allegedly battering two people, including a child.

Latasha Sue Ibarra, 33, 958 E. Garfield St., Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery on a person less than 14 years old and domestic battery with a prior conviction, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On Feb. 1, Warsaw Police officers responded to a fight at a residence. Upon arrival at the scene, officers heard yelling and screaming.

According to court documents, a child at the residence said Ibarra was arguing with them and another child in the home when Ibarra pushed them. The child told police they pushed Ibarra back and left the room, but that Ibarra repeatedly slapped their face. Officers noticed visible red marks on the child’s face and chest.

A woman at the home said Ibarra pulled the woman’s hair out of her head and hit her face. Officers noticed a red spot on the woman’s face and a clump of hair on the couch.

Ibarra refused to speak with law enforcement.

Ibarra was previously convicted of battery in Kosciusko County in June 2012.

Ibarra has already been arrested and released on bond. She has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
