From 8 July, Warsaw Chopin Airport has lifted the restrictions on liquids in hand luggage. At present, this facility is available only to passengers who have purchased the Fast Track service, which allows for rapid passage through security checks.

Two state-of-the-art CT scanners have been installed at Warsaw Chopin Airport for security screening. Thanks to these, passengers will not have to remove electronic devices, toiletries and other liquids from their hand luggage during screening, but most importantly, the presence of the scanners removes the much-hated 100 ml limit on liquids per container in hand luggage. This means that passengers will be able to carry water, toiletries and other liquids in containers of up to 2 litres. Unfortunately, at present this facility is only available to passengers using the paid Fast Track service, i.e. the fast-track security screening. However, as the airport spokesperson has announced, further state-of-the-art scanners will be installed shortly, which will allow the limit to be lifted for all passengers.
