Former University of New Hampshire police Chief Steven Lee has a new job in law enforcement months after pleading guilty to a DUI charge. The Greenland Police Department announced on Facebook that Lee was sworn in as police captain Thursday. Lee resigned from UNH earlier this year following his January arrest in Portsmouth on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. He later pleaded guilty, paid a fine and completed a state-approved impaired driver education program. As a result, his driver’s license suspension was reduced from nine months to three months. Lee’s hiring comes about six months after his arrest.
