For collectors and builders, Kenny got to show off the new LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom set, sharing a closer look at the SpongeBob SquarePants and the LEGO Group partnership announced earlier in the day.

The 1,794-piece set and new LEGO BrickHeadz SpongeBob SquarePants Figure are available to pre-order from today, launching on September 1 and August 1, respectively.

SpongeBob Day activities also featured the launch of the Patrick Star Official YouTube channel;  the first-ever music release from The Patrick Star Show, “Watch Out for That Rake’; multiplatform programming events on Nicktoons, Nick Pluto and Nick.com; tie-ins at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts and Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park; multi-space SpongeBob activations at The New Children’s Museum in San Diego, and more.

Since its launch July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has generated a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is one of the most widely distributed properties in Paramount history, seen in more than 180 markets, translated in 30+ languages, and averaging more than 90 million total viewers every quarter.

SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and is produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, California. The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurable optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends.
