Gillian Anderson briefly returned to THE X-FILES world…kind of.
The actress—who played Dana Scully for 11 seasons and two feature films in the franchise—stepped back into the show’s world to promote the upcoming THE X-FILES LEGO set.
In the cheeky video, Anderson is alone in a hotel room when there’s a knock on her door. Upon discovering a mysterious package, she puts on gloves (“I missed that sound”), and carefully opens the box. As Anderson dictates her notes into a very Scully-like tape recorder, she opens up the various packets to inspect the pieces. (After she puts together a mini-Mulder, Anderson quips, “I don’t remember you being so small.”)
THE X-FILES set will be released by LEGO on Tuesday, August 4. The 1478-piece set will include a recreation of Scully and Mulder’s infamous basement office, as well as an alien abduction scene in a forest.
