Following Pride Month in Toronto, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is continuing its support of LGBTQI+ visibility and inclusion by bringing a group of Canadian content creators to Amsterdam for WorldPride 2026.
As an official partner of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, KLM will welcome six Canada-based creators* to the Dutch capital from July 31 to August 3, travelling on KLM flights from Canada to Amsterdam. Their visit will include some of the most anticipated moments of WorldPride, including Canal Pride, a KLM Over the Rainbow boat experience that will take them past a number of landmarks significant to LGBTQI+ history, and time to discover and share Amsterdam during one of the city’s most important international celebrations.
The initiative builds on KLM’s recent Pride Month presence in Toronto, where the airline marked the close of June with a special flight operated by crew members from KLM’s LGBTQI+ community and members of Over the Rainbow, KLM’s employee network for LGBTQI+ colleagues, which promotes inclusion, visibility and connection across the company.
“After marking Pride Month in Toronto, it feels especially meaningful to continue that journey by bringing Canadian creators to Amsterdam for WorldPride,” said Jean-Eudes de La Bretèche, Country Manager Canada, Air France and KLM. “Canada and the Netherlands both have strong ties to inclusion and openness, and as an airline connecting the two countries, we are proud to help bring Canadian voices to this global celebration. For us, it’s about creating connection and making people feel welcome as they travel.”
During the trip, creators will take part in a KLM-hosted program that begins with a welcome evening in Amsterdam and continues with a full day around Canal Pride, where they will experience the energy of WorldPride alongside the KLM team. They will also visit the Pride House and join the KLM Over the Rainbow boat experience, highlighting the role of KLM’s internal LGBTQI+ network in helping foster visibility and belonging across the company.
As part of its wider WorldPride 2026 commitment, KLM will also host six international LGBTQI+ representatives at the KLM Pride House, located at Hotel Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The Pride House will offer a safe and welcoming home away from home for guests coming from countries where openly being themselves or celebrating Pride is not always possible.
KLM’s WorldPride participation reflects the airline’s broader role in connecting people, places and cultures. With direct links between Canada and Amsterdam, KLM is helping bring travellers from across its Canadian market to the Netherlands for one of the year’s most significant global Pride events.
Earlier this month, KLM and Delta Air Lines also rang the Euronext Amsterdam opening bell to mark the start of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 and highlight their role as official partners of the event.
From all of its Canadian destinations to Amsterdam, KLM’s message remains simple: everyone should feel welcome to travel well and be themselves.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is part of the Air France–KLM Group and a member of the global SkyTeam Alliance. KLM has been present in Canada for 77 years. This peak summer season, KLM will offer 41 weekly flights between Canada and Amsterdam: Calgary (7), Edmonton (6), Vancouver (7), Toronto (14) and Montreal (7).
