Waste will be accepted only during the listed intervals. Other Lithuanian municipalities have separate schedules and conditions, including a free hazardous waste collection schedule for Šiauliai.
Residents may bring:
car batteries;
automotive shock absorbers;
automotive fuel, oil and air filters;
used oil;
batteries and galvanic cells;
used passenger-car tires.
The municipal notice does not say that other types of hazardous waste will be accepted during this collection, so residents should bring only the listed items.
The service is available only to private individuals. Businesses and farmers seeking information about the correct disposal of oil and waste from taxable products can contact AGIA, the Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Importers, by telephone at 0 687 95 159 or by email at [email protected].
The collection is organized by the Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Importers and carried out by UAB “Žalvaris.”
Each resident who manages a vehicle may hand over no more than four used passenger-car tires free of charge. Anyone bringing tires must carry the vehicle registration certificate.
The notice does not specify separate document requirements for the other accepted waste categories.
Residents who miss their assigned time must not leave waste outside the local administrative office. Every item must be handed directly to the UAB “Žalvaris” driver, as unattended waste will not be collected.
