New Delhi (05.08.2026): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) ratified the appointments, including an extension case, to various Foreign and Captive Posts of the Government of India at the Joint Secretary, Director &  Deputy Secretary Level posts.

Baldeo Purushartha (IAS: 2002: PB) was appointed as Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, Philippines for a period of three years. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs. He replaces Ponnuraj V (IAS: 2000: KN).Rahul Jain (IAS: 2005: MP) was appointed as Senior Adviser to the Executive Director (India), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, US for a period of three years. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. He replaces Anand Singh (IAS: 2000: KL).Brij Mohan Mishra (IAS: 2008: AGMUT) was appointed as Minister (Economic and Commercial), Embassy of India, Tokyo vice Debjani Chakrabarti (IAS: 2002: OD) for a period of three years. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.Balamurugan D (IAS: 2005: BH) was appointed as Minister (Agriculture), Embassy of India, Rome replacing Jujjavarapu Balaji (IAS: 2001: AM) for a period of three years. Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.Satyajit Mohanty (IRS C&IT: 1999) was appointed as Representative of India in the Council of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Montreal, Canada for a period of three years. He replaces Angshumali Rastogi (IRSME: 1995).  Currently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence. Tenure of Hemang Jani as Senior Adviser to the Executive Director (JS-level), World Bank, Washington D.C. was extended for a period of two years beyond 16.07.2027 i.e. up to 16.07.2029.Kapil Patidar (IES: 2011), Director, Department of Economic Affairs, was appointed to the post of Adviser to the Executive Director (India), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, USA for a period of three years. Gopalakrishnan Ganesan (IRAS: 2009), Director, Ministry of Steel, was appointed to the post of Counsellor (Economic), Economic Wing, Embassy of India (EoI), Washington DC for a period of three years. He replaces Vivek Chaudhary, (IES:2011). Aditya Rajendra Bhojgadhiya (IA&AS: 2013), Joint Director, National Testing Agency (NTA), was appointed as First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva. He will serve to this Deputy Secretary Level Foreign Post of Government of India for a period of three years. He replaces Ashish Chandolkar.Jivisha Joshi Gangopadhyay (IRTS: 2013) was appointed as First Secretary (Legal), Permanent Mission of India, World Trade Organization (Geneva) for a period of three years. Currently, he is Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. She replaces Nidhi Srivastava (lAS: 2010: AGMUT). Subhash Kumar (IDAS: 2011), Director, Ministry of Defence, was appointed as Director, SAARC Secretariat, Kathmandu, Nepal for a period of three years. He will take over from Bhavesh R. Trivedi, Indian Telecom Service (ITeS:2000), on completion of his approved tenure to this post on 20.11.2026.
