Kaia Gerber continued her “The Shards” press tour with a minimalist Prada look at the series’ Berlin premiere on Monday night.

The Vuori campaign star wore a white two-piece ensemble, complete with a low-rise column maxiskirt and a deconstructed top. While the crisp white skirt featured a simple, streamlined design, the top included contemporary elements that emphasized its disassembled finish.

The back of Gerber’s top included three hook-and-eye closures brought together by thin bands of fabric, mimicking the thickness of the top’s straps. Pulling back the bodice emphasized the pared-back construction of the Prada look.

Styled by Emma Jade Morrison, Gerber’s latest “The Shards” premiere look was a departure from the actress and model’s previous red carpet fashion statements, which harkened back to the maximalist bent of 1980s fashion and style trends.

At the London premiere of the series on July 30, Gerber favored a black silk chiffon dress from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut Fendi fall 2026 couture collection. The flouncy look with flowing fabric took the flirty elements of ’80s fashion and gave them contemporary verve.

But it was Gerber’s semi-sheer Valentino gown at the July 27 New York City premiere of the series that wholly embraced ’80s edge. Though the dress eschewed high glam and maximalism, it nevertheless brought punchy, shimmering style to the red carpet.

While not exactly one for the method dressing motif seen on other high-profile figures, Gerber’s “The Shards” press tour looks have nevertheless nodded to some ’80s trends while staying rooted in the contemporary minimalism of modern designs.

Gerber stars in the ensemble cast of “The Shards,” a TV series adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel of the same name, which follows a group of teenagers coming of age with a killer is on the loose in 1981 Los Angeles. The show debuts Wednesday on Hulu.
