CBK Cardigans, Fluro Green And Plenty Of Bandanas: The Best Street Style At Copenhagen Fashion Week

This season’s Copenhagen Fashion Week brought out all of the usual suspects. On the runway, Nicklas Skovgaard proved a highlight, while Pandora and Ganni proved that the Danes do fashion parties and hospitality like no other – and, of course, there were plenty of moodboard-defining street style moments. This year marked the second half of CPHFW’s 20th anniversary celebration in the Danish capital, and the fashion felt just as fresh off the catwalk as it did on it.

Clever layering proved a through-line, with plenty of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy style cardigans worn alone, over the shoulders, or around the waist; striped shirts thrown over dresses for running from show to show, or sheer tops or dresses adding interest to simple crop tops. As ever, clashing patterns made an appearance, as did some serious colour blocking (fluorescent green is going no where, it seems). Footwear wise, elevated flip-flops were all the rage: nostalgic takes on jelly shoes, chic kitten heel moments, or daytime flats jazzed up with leg warmers (this is Scandi country, after all). That’s not to mention the accessories: a bandana, it seems, is the transitional piece that will see you through the seasons, styled as a bag charm or a bad hair day rescue operation. Meanwhile, rounded aviator sunnies were out in full force – and for beauty, the slickback took on the hair tuck as the defining style of the season.
