Several people have been injured in a town centre shooting, as police hunt for the suspected gunmen.
The attack took place in the Danish town of Holbæk, local police have said, with several people struck by gunfire. Police received the report around 3:45 pm local time (2:45pm UK time).
There is no information about the condition or number of people wounded, according to local media. Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.
Pictures from the scene show that the police have cordoned off a large area after the shooting. There are also police dogs at the crime scene.
According to preliminary police information, they drove from the Agervang neighbourhood, where the shooting took place, in a white car, local news reports.
Danish police have described the incident as a “settling of scores”. In a statement on X the force said: “Police are currently present at several locations in Holbæk following a shooting where several people have been hit. It is the police’s assumption that this is a settling of scores in the criminal environment.”
They added: “Police received a report of the shooting around 3:45 p.m. It occurred in the Agervang residential area.”
