An overhead line failure was identified on Monday morning on the Palemonas–Kaunas railway section, leading to a temporary suspension of train traffic, services have been fully restored at around noon and trains resumed running in both directions.
According to preliminary data, more than 900 passengers experienced disruptions due to the malfunction.
The fault affected the movement of thirteen passenger trains operating on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Vilnius, Kaunas–Šiauliai–Kaunas and Vilnius–Mockava routes.
