If your kids love LEGO bricks, video games and anything that lets them build, create and explore, there’s a new reason to visit the Michigan Science Center this fall.
Now through the end of September, the Michigan Science Center is hosting LEGO® Build & Talk, a new pop-up experience in its PlayLab designed to get kids and parents building together while opening up conversations about digital play.
Developed by the LEGO Group, LEGO Build & Talk combines hands-on LEGO building activities with resources that help families talk about video games, apps and other forms of digital entertainment. The goal is to help families develop balanced digital routines while encouraging kids to think about both the benefits and challenges that come with digital play.

Build, Play & Talk About Digital Life
LEGO Build & Talk was created in response to the changing ways children play. With kids spending more time playing video games, using apps and exploring online spaces, the experience gives parents and caregivers an opportunity to better understand the digital world their children are navigating.
The hands-on activities are designed to encourage families to play together, build together and talk together.
According to the LEGO Group’s 2024 Play Well Report, 61% of parents say their child knows more about technology than they do, while 63% say they want to understand technology better so they can keep up.
That makes LEGO Build & Talk a fun way to turn a family visit into a conversation about technology, online safety and healthy digital habits.
And, of course, there are plenty of LEGO bricks involved!
Families can experience LEGO Build & Talk at Mi-Sci through September 2026. Families can also find free digital wellbeing activities and resources from the LEGO Group online.
