Ørsted has released a statement regarding the turbine incident that occurred
at the Greater
Changhua 4 offshore wind farm on
August 8.


The incident began when a wind turbine automatically tripped and ceased
operation after the monitoring system detected abnormal conditions. A fire
subsequently broke out but was quickly extinguished.



In its latest statement, Ørsted confirmed that no injuries were reported
and that site personnel followed established safety protocols, ensuring
the turbine was isolated from the transmission system, and all necessary
precautionary measures were taken.



The affected turbine remains offline while investigations continue. However,
the remainder of the wind farm is operating as normal.



Ørsted said it is working closely with turbine supplier Siemens Gamesa
to determine the cause of the incident and carry out repairs to the damaged
turbine.
