Due to bad weather, arriving flights in Riga are being redirected to airports in other countries

For example, Ryanair flight FR 4096 from Manchester, which was supposed to arrive in Riga after 10:00 PM, has been redirected to Gdańsk Airport due to weather conditions.

The plane coming from the Portuguese city of Faro was directed to Helsinki, while the flight from Italian Catania was redirected to Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport.

In addition, flights departing from Riga are also delayed.

Riga Airport urges passengers and those meeting them to follow the latest information on the airport’s website and to contact their airlines directly.

As reported earlier, a storm and very heavy rains are expected in Latvia on Saturday evening. This warning comes from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC).

Meteorologists have issued warnings of varying levels—yellow, orange, and red—in Riga and other regions of Latvia due to strong winds and intense precipitation.
