Maersk Atlanta
Maersk has stopped accepting bookings that combine Shipper Owned Containers (SOC) with its inland services from Hungary to Far East Asia.
The restriction takes effect immediately and covers destinations within the E2/E scope.
Maersk introduced the measure because of limited inland network capacity. The carrier also needs to prioritise the repositioning of its own equipment.
Affected inland services
The restriction applies to all export inland products originating in Hungary, including:
Rail and RCO combinations
CY Budapest/Fenyeslitke Container Yard solutions
Store Door solutions
Ocean-only services remain available
Customers can continue arranging their own transport to the relevant seaport. They may then use Maersk’s ocean-only services, subject to applicable commercial approvals and tariff conditions.
However, Maersk will review any exception request before approval. Its Product and Equipment teams must authorise exceptions in advance.
