Dump truck driver dies after crash with trash truck in Stockholm, New York, police say
STOCKHOLM, N.Y. —
A dump truck driver has died after crashing into a trash truck in St. Lawrence County.
New York State Police said Gregory Yaddow, 72, of Gouverneur, was driving on County Route 47 in Stockholm on Monday at 7 a.m. when he crashed into a refuse truck parked on the side of the road.
The crash caused the dump truck to leave the road and overturn, according to police. Yaddow died of his injuries at the scene.
Neither the driver of the trash truck nor his passenger was injured, police said.
An investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
