Gamescom has started with a bang after Paradox Interactive, the publisher behind Cities: Skylines, revealed a new LEGO city builder.
LEGO Skylines, much like Cities: Skylines, will let players design functional and detailed cities but with the twist of LEGO’s creativity.
Developed by Iceflake Studios, brick-by-brick players will be able to make their LEGO cities come to life with buildings, decorations and much, much more.
The official announcement comes after a leak of the game earlier this year, building hype for a LEGO spinoff of the beloved Cities: Skylines game.

Fredrik Löving, SVP, global head of game at the LEGO Group, added: “Building and creativity have always been at the heart of the LEGO experience, but LEGO Skylines takes us into completely new territory.
“Together with Paradox Interactive and Iceflake Studios, we have brought the LEGO experience to one of the world’s most beloved gaming genres.
“From the beginning, our ambition wasn’t just to make a LEGO city-builder, it was to create a game that is considered among the best in the genre.
“Whether players dream of building a bustling metropolis, a quirky seaside town, or something nobody has imagined before, LEGO Skylines gives them the creative freedom and depth to make it happen.”
While an official release date has not yet been announced, the game will be available across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

In addition to this announcement, 2026 is proving to be a big year for the iconic Danish toy company, with the video game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight releasing to rave reviews earlier this year.
