Ferry-borne freight volumes increased by 3.4% to approximately 3.1 million tonnes.
Ports of Stockholm is one of the world’s largest passenger ports and one of Sweden’s largest freight ports. Every year, more than seven million ferry and cruise passengers and over seven million tonnes of cargo pass through the ports, helping to secure the region’s supply of goods.
Ports of Stockholm’s RoPax activities are spread across two ports in central Stockholm: Värtahamnen and Stadsgården, served by Tallink Silja and Viking Line respectively. In addition, Ports of Stockholm operates Kapellskär north of Stockholm, which is served by Finnlines and DFDS, as well as Nynäshamn and Norvik south of Stockholm, served by POLSCA Baltic Ferries and Destination Gotland, and Stena Line, respectively.
