A man who fled from law enforcement during a traffic stop earlier this month was wanted out of New Jersey on federal charges according to Warsaw Police Department. Police say charges include attempted murder.
Police identified the suspect as Kim Bach.
According to Warsaw Police, Bach fled from officers in a stolen vehicle out of New Hanover County during the weekend of August 10 when they attempted a traffic stop.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol says, Troopers positioned themselves ahead of the chase on Interstate 40 and successfully deployed tire deflation devices to bring the pursuit to an end.
Warsaw Police said officers later learned Bach was wanted out of New Jersey on federal charges, including attempted murder with a firearm and additional firearm-related charges.
“A traffic stop may begin with something as simple as a traffic violation, but through the attentiveness and professionalism of our officers, it can lead to the recovery of stolen property, the identification of wanted individuals, and the removal of potentially dangerous offenders from our streets,” Warsaw Police said in a release.
