WARSAW, N.C. (Duplin County) — A man wanted out of New Jersey on federal charges, including attempted murder with a firearm, was taken into custody in Warsaw, North Carolina after a traffic stop led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle, according to the Warsaw Police Department.
Police identified the man as Kim Bach.
The arrest occurred during the weekend of Aug. 10-11 as Warsaw police investigated a stolen motor vehicle.
According to police, what began as a traffic stop led officers to recover the stolen vehicle and take Bach into custody. During the investigation, officers learned Bach was also wanted out of New Jersey on federal charges.
Those charges include attempted murder with a firearm and additional firearm-related offenses, police said.
Police did not provide additional details about the New Jersey case in the information released.
The Warsaw Police Department also thanked other law enforcement agencies and officers who assisted during the incident.
