Eleanor Imogene Webb, known to many as Imogene, passed away at her South Bend, IN residence on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 102. She was born on December 4, 1923 in Etna Green, IN to Miner Leon and Flossie (Huffman) Ginter. She married Doyle Webb on February 1, 1947.
She attended high school through the 11th grade and went on to build a life centered on caring for her home and those she loved. As a homemaker, she gave her days to the work of family life, creating a home that reflected her energy and constant attention. Imogene was a devoted follower of Jesus and now is in His presence. Her service to Him was the high point of her life.
Imogene found joy in raising her family and took pride in keeping busy. She made draperies for churches and created floral arrangements, sharing her talents in ways that brought beauty and warmth to others. She was known as a jack of all trades, someone who was selfless, considerate, and always willing to help. Those who knew her will remember that she always had to be doing something, and that active, giving nature was part of what made her so special.
Imogene is survived by her daughters, Kathy and Susan Webb of South Bend; her sister, Patricia Luckenbill of Warsaw; her grandchildren, Geoffery and Corey Webb of San Diego, CA. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her son, Tom Webb; her brothers, Carlyle Ginter, Benjamin Ginter, and Harold Ginter.
Her life was one of quiet strength, practical skill, and loving service. Eleanor Imogene Webb will be remembered with affection and respect by all who knew her.
A visitation for Imogene will be on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN 46580.
