BERLIN — Berlin’s Summer Concert Series will close with a rescheduled performance by Downtown 6 Friday.

The free concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Parish Green, 461 Alling St. in Kensington.

The performance was rescheduled from its original date. Downtown 6 is a dance band that plays a variety of music and aims to get the crowd on its feet.

St. Paul Parish is hosting the concert in collaboration with the town of Berlin.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the outdoor show. Free parking will be available.

Several free activities and treats will also be offered during the evening. Bright Feeds will provide free ice cream and children and families can enjoy free face painting and balloon animals.

Organizers are also using the event to support the St. Clare Food Pantry. People attending the concert are encouraged to bring canned food or other nonperishable food items to donate.

Donations can also be made payable to St. Paul Parish.

The Sept. 4 performance will be the final event in this year’s Summer Concert Series. Earlier concerts included Stay Tuned Band on June 18 and Locomotion on July 23.
