The vision of the Nobel Peace Conference is to create a meeting place where dedicated individuals, activists and grassroots movements can meet international organizations, decision makers and Nobel Prize laureates. Here, they can learn from and influence each other, and be inspired to continue their work for peace, democracy, and human rights.
Each year, the conference shepherds action-oriented outcomes into the world. This year, the conference aims to help support and shape democratic movements in a time where autocracy is on the rise.
In the week leading up to the conference, the Nobel Peace Center, Center for Nonviolent Conflict Research and Humanity United will convene a select cohort of Generation Z democracy activists from across the globe. 15 young leaders from the US, Nepal, Kenya, Serbia and Brazil will come to Oslo to share experiences and common challenges. They will also sit down with Nobel Peace laureates to develop real and scalable solutions to the transnational threats undermining democracy. The outcome of the convention will be presented at the conference.
