Richard Schiff is starring in Copenhagen at Hampstead Theatre in London.
Richard Schiff is widely recognised for his three-time Emmy Award nominated portrayal of White House Communications Director Toby Ziegler’ on THE WEST WING, where he won for his first nomination.
He also starred opposite Freddie Highmore on ABC’s highly successful drama series THE GOOD DOCTOR as ‘Dr. Aaron Glassman,’ which concluded with its 7th season. Schiff received a Critics Choice nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance.
Richard Schiff has enjoyed a lengthy and acclaimed career in film, TV and theatre.
In terms of stage credits, he recently returned to the New York stage in BECOMING EVE, playing Tati, the Hasidic father of Abby Chava Stein. His work earned him an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Outstanding Featured Performer.
Schiff began his career in New York, where he founded and served as the Artistic Director of the Manhattan Repertory Theater, and directed off-Broadway productions, including ANTIGONE, starring Angela Bassett. He performed several plays with Tim Robbins’ Actors’ Gang, and West End productions of UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL and SPEED THE PLOW.
Schiff’s extensive film credits include BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER, Oscar-nominated biopic RAY, David Baddiel’s THE INFIDEL, as well as a wide range of roles in films such as MAN OF STEEL, MALCOLM X, THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK, I AM SAM, THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, and THE BODYGUARD. Also, CITY HALL with Al Pacino, David Fincher’s SE7EN with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, and CLEMENCY, directed by Chinonye Chukwu.
Schiff’s TV credits include SUPERPUMPED, the Golden Globe winning series THE AFFAIR, HBO’s BALLERS, ER, and ROSWELL to name a few.
