Team GB’s women’s curlers landed a 7-2 round-robin win over Denmark to breathe fresh life into their hopes of making it into the semi-finals at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Great Britain were languishing well down the standings in seventh after just one win from their first four games, but rose to the occasion on Day 10 of the Games to give themselves a much-needed boost.

Skip Jennifer Dodds led from the front, but it was Rebecca Morrison who really excelled against the Danes. The 29-year-old barely put a stone out of place to inspire her team to victory.

The win will propel GB up the table in what looks set to be a fierce battle to make the last four, while Denmark are now sitting on three wins and three defeats from their six games.

GB have four round-robin fixtures remaining, against Switzerland, USA, Japan and hosts Italy.

Making a strong start and establishing momentum has proved crucial inside the curling arena at this year’s Winter Olympics, and GB looked strong from the outset.

They surged 2-0 ahead after the first end and would never relinquish the lead from there. Denmark hit back with a single to half their deficit but Great Britain restored their two-point cushion in the fourth end.

Denmark grabbed another single to reduce their arrears to 3-2 at the mid-game break, but that was as close as they got.

A double in the sixth end put GB firmly in control, before a single in the seventh stretched the advantage further.

Morrison then delivered another telling blow with GB’s last stone in the eighth end, and although Denmark made a good fist of the hammer, the single for Great Britain was enough to end the contest.

It was a mightily impressive performance from GB, who will look to continue that form over the rest of their campaign.

Team GB’s men’s curlers are also in action on Day 10, taking on Norway as they bid for a fifth win from seven games.
