LEGO is now officially part of the Star Wars and Marvel crossover.
The LEGO Group launched Hope Assembles on Friday, October 10, out of New York Comic Con. It’s a trio of LEGO Ideas challenges asking fans to mash the two universes together in brick form, with the winning ideas becoming official LEGO sets.
The campaign carries the same Hope Assembles name as Marvel and Lucasfilm’s upcoming comic book crossover. More on that below.

Three Challenges, One Prize: An Official LEGO Set
Hope Assembles splits into three separate challenges on the LEGO Ideas platform: Character Fusion, Vehicle Fusion, and Scene Fusion. All three are live now and take submissions through November 12.

Each one comes with its own mashup tagline. Character Fusion goes with “Help me Captain America, you’re my only hope!” Vehicle Fusion offers “With great power comes great understanding of the Force.” Scene Fusion warns, “These aren’t the X-Men you’re looking for.”
LEGO says it’s “inviting builders to combine Star Wars and Marvel in three separate challenges” built around “the legendary characters, the classic vehicles and the epic moments.” Builders can take on one or all three, with the prize being “seeing your idea turned into an official LEGO set.”
LEGO bills it as the two universes coming together “for the first time ever.” On the brick side of things, that checks out.
LEGO Ideas normally refuses fan submissions based on licenses LEGO already holds, Star Wars and Marvel included, so a sanctioned crossover challenge is a rare opening.
Builds can be made with physical bricks or digitally in BrickLink Studio. Entries have to be submitted without AI tools, builders must be at least 16, and while multiple entries are allowed, only one per person counts toward the grand prize selections.

From there, the LEGO Ideas Review Board picks which entries move on to a fan vote or prizes, with selected creations produced as official LEGO Ideas sets.
The campaign art sells the pitch: Darth Vader, Greedo, and stormtroopers lined up next to Thanos, Doctor Doom, Venom, and Ultron, TIE Fighters flying alongside a Helicarrier-style ship, and the Death Star facing down a brick-built planet.
Same Name As The Kevin Smith Comic Crossover
The branding is pulled straight from Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, the comic crossover from writer Kevin Smith and artist David Marquez that Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm Publishing announced in August.
That series launches in January 2027, timed to the 50th anniversary of A New Hope. At NYCC on Saturday, Marvel extended it to six issues and debuted the first interior art. A “reality-shattering spell” drops the events of the original film into Marvel’s Earth-616, and Smith has said he wrote it “like an MCU movie.”
LEGO was already circling the crossover, too. Back in August, the leaked 75481 Iron Falcon set surfaced branded “Star Wars x Marvel 2027,” complete with mashup minifigures like Spider-Han and Hulkbacca.
The Ideas challenges now put LEGO in the crossover officially, and 2027 keeps lining up as a full Star Wars x Marvel year across comics and bricks.
The Hope Assembles challenges are open now at ideas.lego.com.
