Dóttir has been announced as the Faroese representative for Pan-ArcticVision 2025, the song contest for the Arctic region.
Dóttir will represent the Faroe Islands at next months Pan-ArcticVision in Nunavut. The singer who was selected in collaboration with Norðurlandahúsið í Føroyum, was born in the Faroe islands and moved to Copenhagen as a child. She is described as an alternative rock performer who incorporates mythical and the melancholy.
She released her first album, “Seeker” in 2019 and recorded her latest album in late 2024. Her biggest release to date is “Castle”. The song that she will perform in Iqualuit for the Faroe Islands has not yet been revealed.
Pan-ArcticVision 2025
The third edition of Pan-ArcticVision will be held on November 29 in Iqaluit, Nunavut. To date, two acts have been announced for the competition:
Pan-ArcticVision is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and was first held in 2023. The contest aims to bring together the peoples of the Arctic. All of the artists competing in the contest were chosen by cultural organisations across the Arctic.
Three categories are awarded prizes in each edition:
The most Arctic song
The song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness
The most revolutionary song
