On Friday, Gemma Chan attended the Berlin Film Festival, where the British actress continued to promote her new film, Josephine, with her co-star Channing Tatum.

Photocall
I really love the silhouette and texture of this Khaite Fall 2025 top. Sculpted and exaggerated to create a strong architectural line, the raw, frayed details give the look an edge. Paired with a leather pencil skirt, the look balances structure with sleek minimalism. However, the Khaite shoes are so wrong for this look, both in colour and style plus they feel disconnected from the rest of the styling. Gemma’s shoe game is usually very strong, so this felt like a rare misstep.

Premiere
I was much more enamoured by her Miu Miu pink organza ballgown worn to the premiere. Gemma has been leaning into a lot of darker colours lately, so I have missed her expressing herself in softer, more romantic shades. We also tend to see a lot of black in Berlin, so this wash of blush immediately stood out on this red carpet.
We all know how Miu Miu loves an embellished detail, but here it is all about the organza skirt, which builds volume through horizontal bands. But what I love most is how the gown has a classic ballgown spirit without slipping into twee or princess territory.
Her makeup, with its soft rose tones and luminous skin, echoes the palette of the dress beautifully.
