At the invitation of Ryan Knox, Executive Director of the Swedish Association of Local Governments and Regions, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan was on a working visit to Stockholm to participate in the “Fiscal Decentralization and Local Self-Government Reforms” workshop.
During the visit, the Yerevan Mayor met with Lif Sandberg, First Vice President of “SALAR International” (Swedish Association of Local Governments and Regions), Ryan Knox, Executive Director, and Lena Falcon, Program Manager.
During the meeting, issues related to decentralization and local self-government reforms in Armenia, as well as financial management, roles, and accountability of local authorities, were discussed.
