Danish wind power company Vestas has received a 26-megawatt order in New Zealand from Hiringa Energy for the Kapuni wind project, which includes the delivery and installation of four V162 turbines as well as a 20-year service agreement, according to a press release.
The project is a partnership between several stakeholders and is set to supply electricity to the grid, with a connection to large-scale green hydrogen production. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
