CHURCHVILLE, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told us that traffic has been blocked off in both directions on Chili Riga Center Road between Palmer and Riga Mumford roads, due to a utility pole being hit during a car accident on Sunday. In the report, Deputies were told about a person possibly being trapped in the crash.
Just past 5 p.m., MCSO said the accident specifically happened in the area of 6650 Chili Riga Center Road.
When deputies arrived, they found an SUV off the road, having crashed into a utility pole.
One person in the SUV was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, with none of the other people in the SUV being injured, deputies say.
Fallen power lines were seen scattered across the road, the report says.
The sheriff’s office also said the National Grid is on the scene to repair the pole and lines.
