Australian shares are poised to fall on Monday as rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, marked by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis launching attacks on Israel, push oil prices higher and heighten investor caution.
On March 27, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average each fell 1.7%, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 2.2%.
