German thrash metal legends KREATOR will return to Finland next year with their new «Krushers of The World Tour 2026″. The concert will be at the venue Jäähalli (Helsinki) on April 21st .
KREATOR was formed in 1982. The band has achieved worldwide sales of over two million units for combined sales of all their albums, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. Along with DESTRUCTION, SODOM and TANKARD, they are credited as one of the «Big Four» of Teutonic thrash metal, responsible for developing and popularizing the German thrash metal scene as well as pioneering the then-emerging death metal and black metal genres during the mid-1980s. To date, KREATOR has released sixteen studio albums, two EPs, two live albums and three compilation albums. They gained a large underground fanbase within the international thrash metal community, with their second studio album Pleasure to Kill (1986) regarded as an influential album of the genre. Many of their subsequent albums — including Terrible Certainty (1987), Extreme Aggression (1989), and Coma of Souls (1990) — were also highly acclaimed. Their latest studio album, Krushers of the World, was released this January via Nuclear Blast. Their current line-up consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Miland «Mille» Petrozza, drummer Jürgen «Ventor» Reil, lead guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö, and bassist Frédéric Leclercq.
Special guests for the evening will be English death metal icons CARCASS, American thrash metal idols EXODUS and American metallic hardcore squad NAILS.
CARCASS was formed in 1985. The band have gone through several line-up changes, leaving guitarist Bill Steer and bassist-vocalist Jeff Walker as the only constant members. To date, the band have released seven studio albums, two compilation albums, four EPs, two demo albums, one video album, and six music videos. CARCASS are regarded as among the pioneers of the grindcore and melodic death metal genres. They are also described as one of the earliest and most important of the new generation of grindcore and death metal bands. Their early work was also tagged as «splatter death metal» and «hardgore,» on account of their morbid lyrics and gruesome album covers. Beginning with their third album Necroticism – Descanting the Insalubrious (1991), CARCASS began to incorporate progressive and technical influences, and while they continued in this direction on the follow-up album Heartwork (1993), it was the band’s first foray into melodic death metal.
EXODUS was formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Rob Dukes. EXODUS has been credited as one of the pioneers of the thrash metal genre, which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1980s and early 1990s. They have sold over five million albums worldwide, and they are also considered to be one of the «Big Eight» of thrash metal, along with METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, and DEATH ANGEL.
NAILS was formed in2007 by frontman Todd Jones, formerly the guitarist of TERROR and CARRY ON, along with bassist John Gianelli and later joined by drummer Taylor Young of DISGRACE, TWITCHING TONGUES, etc. They released their debut EP Obscene Humanity in 2009, followed by the studio albums Unsilent Death (2010), Abandon All Life (2013), You Will Never Be One of Us (2016), a split EP with FULL OF HELL, I Don’t Want to Know You (2019), an EP featuring Max Cavalera, and Every Bridge Burning (2024).
