The Czech Republic went through penalties last week, beating the Republic of Ireland. Can they do it twice in a row?

Teams are in their final huddles. I would say the teams have been evenly matched throughout the 120 minutes played but that won’t make the result any less elating/heartbreaking for the winner/loser.

ShareEnd of extra time: Czech Republic 2-2 Denmark

Penalties, here we come! A spot in the World Cup awaits.

ShareGOAL! Czech Republic 2-2 Denmark (Hogh 112)

IT IS BACK IN THE BALANCE IN PRAGUE! Talk about timing for Hogh. He has scored against Manchester City, Inter, Atletico Madrid and Sporting in the Champions League this season, but this may be his most important goal yet. His glorious header – a first international goal – puts his side back in it. Kovar is rooted to his spot and can only watch as the ball sails in.

The captain, who was the saviour a few nights ago against the Republic of Ireland, does it again! Coufal lifts a cross in, Souček attempts to head it but it falls to Krejci, who senses an opportunity and takes it with an angled shot. He wheels away in celebration but the Danes immediately claim there was a push. Their complaints go unheard and the goal stands.

ShareFull-time: Kosovo 0-1 Turkey

The dream is over for the hosts but what a run it was. The travelling fans are buoyant; they will be watching their team at the World Cup for the first time since 2002. It was scruffy and scrappy but they could not care less. They will join Group D with the United States, Paraguay and Australia.

Nightmare defending from Sweden! Zalewski has the ball right in front of the net. He lays it off to Swiderski, who would have had to try incredibly hard to miss. There is a lengthy VAR check for offside but the goal stands.
