AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT) – An Amsterdam man is in custody after police allegedly found images consistent with child sexual exploitation.

According to New York State Police, Dakota J. Kilgore, 21, promoted and possessed images consistent with child exploitation. It comes after a search warrant was executed at his residence on April 2.
Kilgore is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

He was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of bond.
