On Tuesday, April 14, the salary settlement for the members of the Oslo Municipality began.
– This main settlement must give members a real improvement in their finances, says negotiation leader for YS Kommune Oslo, Mona Bjørnstad.
– Wage growth must be higher than price growth, so that employees in the municipality of Oslo can actually afford better in their everyday lives, points out Bjørnstad.
YS Municipality of Oslo requires a result that gives employees a reward for both responsibility, competence and workload.
Competence should pay off
Salary is important for retaining and recruiting competent employees and managers.
– Many in the municipal sector earn less than employees with a similar level of education in the private sector. In order to have skilled professionals and ensure good recruitment, we need a significant pay increase, says Bjørnstad.
These are the main requirements for YS Municipality Oslo
Significant real wage growth for our members
Competence and education must yield payoffs
Full-time culture and working hours
Raising the allowance for inconvenient working hours
This year is the main settlement, when both salaries and other provisions in the collective agreement are negotiated.
Deadline until April 30th at midnight
The parties to the settlement in the municipalities have until April 30th at midnight to reach a result.
